In April of 2004, our 1999 Trans-am was named Hot Rod Magazines quickest naturally aspirated LS1 in the world.
We accomplished this task with a 436 cubic inch solid roller power plant coupled to a Rossler turbo 400 trans and a Strange 12 Bolt out back.
Below are a few photos of the motor and installation.

Note that this is normally aspirated on a TH-400 transmission without a lock-up torque converter. We hit 548 rear wheel horsepower on this pass. .
